To pay tribute and accolade for the great sacrifice of Shaheed Captain Isfandyar Bukhari, a biographic book titled "Marka Budh Ber Ka Hero" was launched at Cadet College Hasan Abdal. The Shaheed officer was an alumnus of the Cadet College Hasan Abdal. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, an Abdalian himself, graced the ceremony as Chief Guest.

Chief of the Naval Staff, in his speech paid rich tributes to the Captain Isfandyar Bukhari Shaheed who sacrificed his life with gallantry and courage for the motherland. Naval Chief lauded publishing of such a heart touching book which shall serve as lighthouse for generations to come. Admiral Zakaullah said that this unique book is a heroic chronicle of Captain Isfandyar and it sheds light on various enlightening aspects of his valiant life. The Admiral indicated that the contributing factors of Shaheed officer's urge for martyrdom were training, education and guidance by his parents and teachers and above all Shaheed's love for the country. The Naval Chief also lauded the efforts of faculty and administration of Cadet College Hasan Abdal for grooming and honing the young cadets thereby producing such brave and fearless soldiers. The Naval Chief congratulated Shaheed's parents for nurturing such an excellent son and for displaying deep feeling of patience and gratefulness.

The Chief Guest also expressed his optimism of a brighter future for the young cadets and gave word of advice to strive and inculcate qualities like discipline, honour and dignity. He said that there is no reason to regret in life if you don't reach the stars, but there is reason to regret if you don't have stars to reach for. Trust in your abilities and have faith in Allah. Earlier in the inaugural speech, the Principal of College Major General Najeeb Tariq (r) welcomed the participants and thanked Chief of the Naval Staff for sparing his valuable time by gracing the occasion.-PR
